open minds
So what is a reputation? I know in the bible it says that a good reputation is more valuable than gold, but I would like to add to that a little bit. Why is it so important that we care what people think? Sometimes, we should, but other times, it is imperative that we live our life according to our own rules not someone else's. When someone is displayed a certain way and you believe all the hype, it can help you to avoid certain situations and problems. Here is my thought of the day: Everyone deserves a chance. People will talk about you no matter what you do, that is inevitable, however, who are we to say that a child of God is not worth a closer look? Everyone can build up a reputation, but the truth sometimes is deeper than that. :)

True, a reputation doesn't always represent the whole truth about a person, but nevertheless, a reputation is important. It may or may not represent the whole reality, but it does affect people's lives. Your reputation determines whether the other kids will play with you on the playground, whether your coworkers or boss will give you a good report when you are applying for a new job, whether anyone will come to your birthday party. WE need to the be the ones to be nice to everyone, no matter what their reputation is. However, we also need to make sure our reputation matches the reality of our lives so that the people we want to be friends with will want to be friends with us. Either that, or have no friends.
Mrs. Romanowski says, "What goes around, comes around." It's best to be nice.
